About me

Hi, I’m Lacey — a 30-year-old nurse, full-time student, dog mum to two chaotic beagles (Ned and Alfred), and proud housemate to a small but lively crew (including one sassy sausage dog named Vinny).

This blog is my safe space — and maybe yours, too. I’m a survivor of domestic violence, and through that painful unraveling came an unexpected, beautiful truth: I’m a lesbian. Life didn’t follow the script I thought it would, but it brought me here — to healing, to self-discovery, and to finally living on my own terms.

I’m currently walking the long, messy road of recovery, navigating health and wellbeing (with equal parts therapy, laughter, and coffee), and trying to figure out what it really means to rebuild a life — not just survive, but thrive.

Here, I share my story not for sympathy, but for solidarity. If you’re healing, questioning, surviving, or simply existing through the hard stuff — you’re not alone. This is a space for truth-telling, awareness-raising, and maybe even a little hope.

If you ever have questions, need support, or just want to talk, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you are.
